About Me
Hi, I'm a recent graduate that studied Financial Engineering. I would say my path to where I'm at right now was unconventional (I know, saying your path is unconventional is ironically quite conventional)—I've done a bit of fundamental investing, discretionary macro, price action trading, risk-parity style investing, and now am building stat-arb and systematic MFT.
I consider myself to be generalist, and I still am confused whether I should say this with pride or shame. I've gained knowledge over the past few years on a broad array of topics, so I know a bit of everything. But knowing only a bit can also be a problem. Yet I am hopeful that this will become a strength in the post-AI era. We will see.
About the Website
As someone with no STEM degree, I had to spend a lot of time self-studying math. Studying math alone was much more overwhelming than I'd expected (still is), and I ended up spending a lot of time on finding the "right" way to study things. I found out one of the most effective ways to test whether you actually understand a topic or not is to try to teach another person from scratch.
Hence, the birth of this website. In this website, you will mostly find articles decomposing technical concepts from a value-adding perspective, usually in an engaging manner (I will try, though I can't promise). Sometimes, I will put out structured rambles on random topics.
All articles are only for entertainment purpose.
